I was born a month early, then when I was three I was diagnosed with autism, and the doctors told my mom I would never gonna be able to read, or write. When I was nine I got bit by a tick, and had a very rare illness that could have killed me. In eighth grade I got a college reading level award. I am a survivor, and a fighter.

I was born with a punctured lung and I didn't even way 3 pounds, I was in the hospital for a week and 9 years later here I am, stronger than ever! I'd say I'm sort of a survivor since I was expected to live 4 days after birth but they were wrong! 9 years so far almost at ten.

Her story is similar to mine! I was born at 24 weeks in the NICU for two months, then I was moved to another area of hospital to help preemies who still couldn't breathe on their own. Only life long condition I have now is my eyes. Retinopathy

I was born with my heart backwards and on the wrong side of my body. I had 3 open heart operations before the age of 3. My heart is still on the wrong side of my body but other than that I'm all good today, managing my condition with daily aspirin.

I was born at 25 weeks and weighed a pound and a half. I was in the hospital for three months and came out before my due date.

Such a beautiful song. I will say I've gone through allot of things these 20 years of living; from working jobs just to support my family to going to school just to keep good grades and stay positive. But none of this compares to my grandmother, who is about to have her second surgery since 2016 and having breast cancer. When we're in a bad situation, she simply smiles and says "we'll make it right". A fighter to the end, my grandma is not just a survivor, but she's my one idol.

I love this song but if you really listen to the lyrics it brings up a very sad underscore. It shows how women have become enslaved in our society. She says she works 2 jobs and is a single mother. This is a sign of a sickness in our world in which mother hood and family is being torn apart by the idea of slave labor. The idea that one must work outside the home period. This idea leads to broken homes and lack of parenting. It leads to children being insecure and without a strong role model. I am by no means leaving single fathers or fathers who are more motherly then their mate. I am not even leaving out LGBT here because the sickness is all over the board of our society. It is when we expect every single person to work more then to raise and care for their families that i get irritated. We pay taxes to fat cats, We accept rich people having the right to a 3rd yacht, We say it is ok for Walmart to enslave Chinese poverty to make cheap shit for the world. It is ok for companies to pollute and destroy the environment and make products that go straight to a landfill. We are indeed a sick world. Sick in our family structure and sick in how we treat the world around us. Sick in what we accept and put up with. The woman who wrote this song should not have had to think like a survivor fighting against a world that hated her. She should not have had to work 2 jobs or struggle so hard to feed her kids. She should of not had to face things alone in a world of 8 billion souls. she should of had the aid available for her and the rich should no longer be accepted. They did not get there on their own. It was workers who made their business so it is the workers they should pay equally. Women do not impregnate themselves it is a man who steps in so yes he should also be accountable. It is sad that in this day we think it is ok to allow such things. We sing songs about it and idolize the bad events like battle scars instead of pointing at the bullies who gave them to you in the first place.
